Lately I have been fighting the urge to re-landscape my backyard at the house I rent. A friend of mine urged me to stop planting in the ground and plant in pots so I can take my plants with me if I move. Okay, I had some pots James inherited from his last apartment so I filled them with life. But now I am out of pots and they are EXPENSIVE! Combing Craigslist isn't getting me anywhere so I started researching DIY planter ideas and I came across hypertufa.
It is a lightweight concrete mixture that can be pressed into a mold to create planters in any size. Finally, a cheap, and modern-looking solution! Below are some links to create your own hypertufa planters.
